Financial Costs

Costs of the LSAT and Law School Application

Typical Fee Structure

-$200 LSAT fee (per test)

-$195 Credit Assembly Service (CAS) fee (for processing of application materials)

-$45 Law School Report(s) (assessed per school)

Note: additional fees ($125) may be assessed if you switch your test date within two weeks of the test you've already signed up for.

Fee Waivers

Those applicants with extreme need may also qualify for FEE WAIVERS. All information regarding necessary steps to obtain fee waivers, and which fees in particular are waived, may be found here:

***NOTE: when asked by LSAC if you'd like to sign up for their Candidate Referral Service (CRS), say YES. Though you'll receive some unnecessary emails in your inbox throughout application season, opting in to CRS sends your information to participating law schools, who may then send you unsolicited fee waivers depending on your credentials. Extra emails are worth savings of potentially ~hundreds~ of dollars!***
